Standard paints, even when water-based, are normally produced using solvents and complex chemical compounds extracted from petroleum which are not therefore biocompatible. This makes them totally extraneous to the vital processes of all living creatures and to the environment and not transformable into useful substances for life in the physical world. Made with vegetable and mineral raw materials, Solas products contain absolutely no petrochemical solvents or acrylic, vinyl, alkyd or biodical resins. From research skills to leading manufacturer in Italy.

The beginnings of our company can be traced to a distant (or recent) 1993 and a small (or large) group of people who wanted to make state-of-the-art products that were also compatible with the life cycles of our planet. More than just a fleeting fancy, we have never just settled for giving our products a "natural look". Our intention has always been to make then natural "from the inside out" through serious research into ecocompatible development. This explains why many of our natural treatments have complex and rich formulations: in some cases there are mixtures of some 20 to 30 different oils and resins. Formulations are constantly improved and our product range is regularly expanded with the addition of new items as part of our "natural evolution". Solas means light, white and candour in Gaelic. It will come as no surprise then that the first product we ever made was a white and especially bright, glossy wall paint of excellent coverage and duration. Since then, our range of products has multiplied to the extent that we now have products to meet all private and public building needs.
